Pro-Tech Technology: Enhancing Productivity through Smart, Secure Solutions
The Microsoft service provider landscape transforms current intranet and legacy applications into a digital workplace; platforms like SharePoint can enable organizations to accomplish a mobile-first agenda effectively. However, to let a team site to work on a project, Microsoft has to request the team site and follow a process that may take hours or days. Hong Kong-headquartered Pro-Tech Technology (PTT) is a secure, reliable, and cost-effective IT solutions and services provider that helps companies overcome such challenges with its ability to instantly create a space for discussion, scheduling, and heavy-weight documents management through its T-flow workflow engine. “We effectively use SharePoint and its surrounding with the enabling tools contained within the T-flow engine as an unstoppable force in an enterprise,” says Ben Chong, Director of Pro-Tech Technology. As an award-winning Microsoft solutions provider, the firm offers end-to-end implementation of solutions and services including SharePoint migration, management, administration, data protection, and Office 365.
Its products focus on workflow, analytics, financial management, and education administration. Stressing on the increasing demand for enhanced collaboration between colleagues as well as outside parties, Ben says, “PTT’s specificity lies in attaining a seamless and responsible video streaming capability with its private cloud services and providing clients who own intranet based on SharePoint with an enhanced video portal.”
The firm’s T-flow engine is a highly-secure enterprise document management solution that affords sharing, cloud faxing, file synchronization, verification, and approval systems based on Microsoft SharePoint.
The company also offers additional professional services to support clients throughout the IT lifecycle. The Solution Life Cycle is a general framework for delivering information solutions to satisfy unique business needs and manages several stages of the process, namely, “discover, analyze and recommend, design, develop and integrate, test and quality assurance, deploy and maintain, evaluate, archive and retire.” On the other hand, managed services handle after sales supply chains and serve clients with a service lifecycle management solution. It encompasses contact center, contract and entitlement management, workforce administration, field service operations, returns and repair management, logistics, and knowledge administration. “Besides, our robust Project Management Office and IT Infrastructure Library foundation ensure operational excellence throughout every engagement.”
PTT caters to a diverse clientele ranging from government units, financial institutions, and hotel sectors to research institutes and non-profit organizations. One of its clients was a large retail company, managing over 20 brands and 200 shops. It had a large repository of unorganized data which often resulted in assets getting lost, deleted, needlessly duplicated, or accessed by non-authorized people. PTT provided the client with a one-stop solution along with consultation, implementation, and training and also standardized the document type and security base on SharePoint. PTT reduced its IT efforts with an automated backup of content and restoration taking only one-third of the time required by native functionality, thereby significantly easing the company’s business operations.
While PTT’s focus for the near future lies in investing on social networking collaboration, it plans to leverage platforms such as WeChat, LINE, Snapchat, and collate the information gathered from these channels together in its solution. “Essentially, PTT aims to enhance and provide its cloud-based services and products to clients in the Asia-Pacific region, expanding to Singapore, Taiwan, and Malaysia in two to four years time,” Ben concludes.
