TIME dotCom (TIME): Digital Transformation Begins With TIME

The ever-increasing speed of information exchange via the Internet is currently one of the most significant business catalysts worldwide. It is essential for businesses to be able to expand, secure and support their network to maintain a competitive edge. In line with these vital prerequisites, Malaysia’s TIME dotCom (TIME) offers industry-proven solutions and services designed to address the needs of companies in the digital age.

Connectivity forms the backbone of TIME’s business, and it provides competitive offerings for customers thanks to extensive fibre optic network assets in the ASEAN region and stakes in subsea cable systems across the globe. Core products include everything from dedicated Internet access to direct cloud connectivity; one example is TIME Cloud Interconnect Direct, a private and secure direct connection from customer servers to third-party cloud providers such as Microsoft Azure via the Microsoft ExpressRoute gateway in AIMS Data Centre.

While domestic and global connectivity has always been TIME’s forte, the company has expanded its repertoire in response to evolving business needs, positioning itself as a strategic partner to facilitate digital transformation. Besides connectivity, it now counts cloud, data centre, security, and voice offerings among its core products – all critical aspects of modern business infrastructure.

Cloud is the buzzword of the moment in the business world because of its flexibility and efficiency, which makes it an ideal platform for scalability. In readiness for the growth of cloud computing, TIME has made its network SDN-ready by using the NFVi platform to provide integrated virtual network services such as virtual firewalls (vF) and virtual customer premises equipment (vCPE) on its heterogeneous, open-stack cloud platform.

Businesses considering cloud services often concurrently explore data centre hosting services, and TIME is prepared to provide a comprehensive suite of data centre solutions. AIMS Data Centre is a leading interconnection platform in Malaysia that hosts all local and 80% of international telcos within its secured, protected facility, which is also compliant with global standards such as PCI DSS and ISMS.

While domestic and global connectivity has always been TIME’s forte, the company has expanded its repertoire in response to evolving business needs, positioning itself as a strategic partner to facilitate digital transformation

AIMS has built one of the nation’s most interconnected ecosystems, which expands direct interconnection options for speed, security and network reach.

The rise of cloud and data centres are a direct result of the race to digitalise, but the growing reliance on data and digital processes means a well-timed cyberattack can leave companies severely crippled. Therefore, businesses going digital are seeking more intelligent and comprehensive security solutions. In response to that demand, TIME is expanding its security services with offerings such as TIME Security Advanced Monitoring, TIME Security Control (virtual firewall and DDoS protection) and security professional services to provide end-to-end cybersecurity solutions.

In order to optimise these IT infrastructure solutions, TIME is enhancing its managed virtual services offerings such as routers and firewalls. These customisable managed services cover everything from the management and maintenance of physical devices to the monitoring and support of virtual services. Additionally, TIME also provides technical expertise such as advisory and consultative services, which are designed to help customers identify what their business pain points are and produce the best possible solutions to address them.

Looking ahead, it is clear that standalone IT products and services are no longer sufficient to address ever-changing business needs. TIME will spend the foreseeable future focusing on service innovation and taking their core products and services to the next level, developing comprehensive packages that will provide holistic IT solutions for TIME’s customers as they embark on their IT transformation plans.
